At last...

I have managed to upload my recently made cards. I still have to write about how I have made them. Time flies....it's unbelievable how time flies. I had hadly have any time to do other things today. Since I am on holiday, I shouldn't really complain but I wish I could have done much more. I will try to finish this blog later on tonight.

Accordeon Me Book

The inside of the card:I have used the Floral shoe stamp and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I really like this stamp as it is very different and quite unique.I have also used clever cut stamps which gives a vintage feel to this piece of work as vintage is one of my favourite theme. I had some Blue Cardigan design sheet (BCD047- impressionist quote) which I have used as layers. They are quote about artists and Art. I have used a piece with the lettere T as my name starts with T as well.I dont think you could see it on this picture but on the right hand side, I have used versamark ink and chalk to reveal a butterfly stamp. These pages here are the techniques I enjoy working with and the quote about the artists represent the other side of me, my artistic side. I have also included so brads as they are easy to use but yet very effective. They can be an embellishment on their own.

Accordeon Me Book

This is my first accordeon book.I wanted to do one where I would try a new theme and/or technique on each page.I wanted this book to represent what I like and what I am fascinated about in the cardmaking world. The front cover has got one of my favourite stamps which is a rose stamp by Rubber stampede. It is such a beautiful stamp and so versatile as well. I couldnt resist the urge to try a decoupage technique with it which I have and i think it came out alright though it was a bit tricky.I highlited it with some gold paint. Then I used the chipboard alphabet T (as my first name start with T)and after I have covered it with some light paper, I scribbled about 'Time' on it.I finished off with some shrink plastic stamped images. You will find the rose image again in the shrunk version, the rest are the See D's stamps.I threaded the shrink images on some wire and fixed them to the bottom. Et voila, thats my front cover finished.

Accordeon ME Book

I have used vellum and have done a pop up style which is normally used in a full star book version.

Daring Card Maker - Embossing - 15/06/07

I have used the cuttlebug embossing folder for the background, layered the first top with paper artsy stamp on acetate.Used lace to tie a bow on bottom left square and rub on to spell beautiful. And the B letter is done with the Foam alphabet stamps which are brilliant.I had this card already but thought it will be ideal for this Friday's dare, but of course, its cheating(sort of) as I still need to make another one to start a fresh dare!

Glamorous

I have used glittery card and See D's stamps. I have used a border punch to get this vintage and wedding feel. The ribbon is definitely not the type I want. I wanted organza but since I didnt have it, I used this one just to show my idea of where I would want ribbon in this card. I have used Tracing paper, instead of vellum(because I didnt have any), to do the insert.I have used heat embossing to both the front of the card and on the inside for the insert.

Pull-out card

This is another wedding card I have made using See D's stamps. The heart border was stamped twice by linking them together and Ive coloured in my images using Whispers brush markers. The pull out card is pearlescent card mounted onto silver card. The pocket is made from some kind of net paper. I cannot remember where Ive got them from but I do remember there was some word splash associated with it. Simple and quick make card.

A bit tired...

I have been feeling a bit tired lately....I had so much to do this week and managed to do only one card which I havent taken a pic yet. I had my Cardmaking club today at work and there was 9 girls in all doing it now. They were really excited and they learned very fast the stamping technique and some even made a card today itself. Since I have them for an hour(2:30-3:30pm), I tend to be quite laid back but they worked really fast. By 3:20, they were ready to pack up and clean the mess. And they put everything in a folder to continue next week, they were brilliant.

I had the good intention to do some cards tonight but ended up sorting my cards out! sometimes I spend time sorting boxes out then doing work. Its one of those days today.Anyway I will be doing some cards tomorrow.

Make a wish

I have made this card and wasnt quite sure what I should use it for. I had some rub ons with matching colour so I decided to for it!

Black and white

I just cannot stop playing around with my new stamp.....I wanted to try a black and white, retro version. This is what I have achieved.I think this is a beautiful stamp which is so versatile. I will be adding a few more as Im off to watch a movie....

I love you

I used penny black stamp and use water colour pencils to colour it. Then I used a paintbrush to wash slightly over it to give this water colour effect. I finished used red bazzil cardstock as matting and rub ons to spell the word love.

Thank you

I used water colour paint and a brayer to do my background and Anita's flower stamps and some ribbons.

Flower

This is a card I made using a brayer and water colour again to make my own background and repeated image stamp from Anita's stamps.

Wedding cards

Another set....This one I have used See D's Stamps heart one, Mulburry paper with gold threads, paper flower, and ribbons.

Wedding cards

This is a set of invitation, thank you and place card I have made using pearlescent cards, String hearts stamps by Artifacts, See D's stamps wedding and gold embossing powders. I would like to create more wedding sets in the future. The card for Table number here is not how it should really be. I mean, I would want to stamp the word table and the number and also the guests names. This one doesnt look right.

Ophelia

I fell for this Stampsmith Ophelia stamp the minute I saw it. It is a lovely stamp and of course, Hamlet was one of my favourite book from Shakespeare.I wanted to achieve a vintage look. I first prepared my background by using water colour and a rubber brayer to get a brown and yellow tones. When its dry, I added gold liquid leaf with a painbrush, then , when this is dry, I stamped the Ophelia image with black brilliance ink. I used foam stamps flourishes with distress ink to stamp over the ophelia image. I finished off with organza ribbon and silk fowers and yellow diamond stud.
