Bloggers Unite:)

I was tagged today with this special award by the very talented Anna. It is a priviledge for me to be tagged by such a fantastic and brilliant card maker and designer!Well, I am going to tag 5 people who have some amazing work up on their blog and who have come and visit my blog and give me some encouraging praises.

So I would like to nominate:
Emilia

Liquid

glitterangel

Anice

Paula

Ladies, please display the pink blogger symbol on your blog and nominate five people each. I know how irritating tagging can be but I suppose it is way to view what other bloggers' are getting up to.

Very vintage

I have been asked to do a card which is vintage but not too vintage for my friend's friend!
I hope I have managed to meet up to her expectations:)
I have used See D's stamps set vintage to do the dress and Hero Arts stamps for the Sweet and Simple one...I have warned you that you will see this stamp on almost all of my cards as Im going a bit mad with it! And I have chalked the image using red and brown and the dress has been coloured in using watercolour pencils and a water brush.

Sweet and Simple

This stamp is from creative expressions. Well, what can I say? I have loved every minute while doing this project. Now, before anything else, I must say a big thank you to Sheila Oliver(manicstamper) as she is my source of inspiration for this one. She was featured in the craft stamper where I really liked the idea of stamping an image onto a patterned or coloured paper, then cut out part of the image so you could lay it onto another colour paper to show , for example, the skin tone.In this project, I have stamped the image onto beige card then onto basic grey paper which is a lovely rich red and black colour/design, then I have carefully cut out the part where the skin is meant to be on the basic grey section. I cut out the basic grey one and cut off the shoulder and top part of the woman. Finally I stick the basic grey one onto the beige image and this is the result. I am sorry if I have confused you but in case you are intrigued and want more information please feel free to email me on tassycrafty@gmail.com. I have used chalk to add a glimpse of red tone to the back ground. I have cut a rectangle piece of basic grey paper and stick it to the bottom of the card and finished off with a Hero Art stamp Sweet and Simple.Hope you like it!!!!

Yummy Cakes

I am not a very brilliant blogger as even though I really wish I could blog everyday, I can't. I will try and be very good this week....Anyway, I had my eyes on those lovely stampendous stamps - Sweet delights - for a while and finally managed to buy them from thestampman.co.uk. I think its a lovely and cute design.
I have stamped the image once , then a second time. I've coloured the image with water colour pencils and use a waterbrush to create a watercolour effect. I've cut out a few cakes on the second one and mounted them with sticky foam pad on the first one to create a 3D image.I've mounted them onto a lovely gingham paper from the spring stack (DCWV) and use a Hero Arts script messages to spell the word sweetness. Im loving these messages and don't be surprised if you see them on my cards at the moment:)

Daring Cardmakers - Friday's Challenge

The Dare goes:

TEXT...
definition... the main body of matter in a book or manuscript. the actual wording of anything written or printed, short passage of scripture, etc
We'd like you to somehow incorporate text into your cards this week - not just one word.. but a portion of TEXT... like a poem, or newspaper print, Caligraphy, Even rip up an old text book and use some of the paper from it, there are masses of possibilities here, so let your imaginations run riot and let us see you texting to your heart's content!

I haven't been able to take up any challenges lately and didnt make any cards either.I have been extremely with work and other stuffs.....I've had my first break today and couldn't help take up this challenge. I have enjoyed creating again....its so therapeutic!at least for me:)

Anyway here you go....

I have used basic grey designer paper with the writing, elegant border punch, maya road ribbon, and woodware clear magic stamps, Fashion Collection(from craft haven for half price!), and Adirondacks raibow ink to colour in the stamped images and the card.

Celestial

This is the Daring Cardmaker's Challenge for Friday 08/06/07

and the dare goes:
Hi it's Keryn here and it's my turn to set the dare this week. This time I asked my family for ideas for this weeks dare and the best amongst a lot of ideas including power tools etc, etc was Lachlan's ideas for Space. It's been his topic at school this term. (Lachlan is seven and in Year 3). To make in a little easier on you all I've called it Celestial to also include horoscopes as well as planets, spaceships, stars, suns etc. How you use these items is up to you.

Okayyy! These are the materials I took out to do this project as I didnt really know what to make for this challenge....

I came up with...

I have used tanda horoscopes stamsp, and clever cut stamp(fairy), and some chalking for the backgroun. The fairy has been stamped with versamark then brushed over with pearl ex.

Altered Book- Vintage and sewing

I watched a demo on Altered Book on Sugarloaf products website and I really really liked what I have seen for the altered book. I do not have all the materials they used. For instance the theme was sewing and they had a See D's set for sewing.I am making one and the theme is vintage and sewing. The video has been a great source of inspiration and I want to alter the whole book by having a different theme as I go on. These are just a few pics of what I am working on at the moment.....

I HAVE FINALLY MANAGED TO COMPLETE THIS TODAY 8TH OF JULY!!!!

Wednesday Stamper's Challenge

I have made this card following the instructions on Wednesday Stamper's website. This is the first time I am doing the WS challenge.

Daring Cardmakers

This is my second card for Daring Cardmakers challenge for 'I can see clearly now....' set by Kel who said ' Okay, this week I would like you to use some acetate, vellum, plasma or anything else remotely 'see-through' on your card. That's it! ' (Challenge for Friday 01/06/07...catching up really....)

I liked the idea so much that I wanted to make many cards with this challenge but time just flew by so quickly.....I know there is already another challenge today but I just had to do this one and then move on to the next:)

This is a close up view and hope you can see the dry embossed on the vellum I have achieved here.I quite like the subtleness of the embossing image Ive got here.

I have made this card using handmade printed paper(flowery one) and I have dry embossed some transparent vellum with flowery image and layered them. I have stamped the word 'wonderful' , add some gems at the four corners of the square to add some bling and finished off with organza ribbon threaded with a diamond gem(bling again).

Daring Cardmakers Challenge

This is what I've came up with. This is to start me off as I have been lacking inspiration since two days now....complete lack of creativity. I've opted for acetate as I already had some and I wanted to use these stamps since a while now. I find this challenge to be very interesting and challenging indeed. Now that I have been able to unblock the main stop button, I hope to be able to let go now.I will do some more later on.

I have used 'paisley set' from Clever cut on clear acetate . I have also used versamark ink and chalk for a light background with the same stamps. I cut away a piece of the front card and attached the stamped acetate (I have used permanent ink)to the front card with eyelets. I finished off with a piece of card stamped with a tiny 'thinking of you' stamp.

At last...

I have managed to upload my recently made cards. I still have to write about how I have made them. Time flies....it's unbelievable how time flies. I had hadly have any time to do other things today. Since I am on holiday, I shouldn't really complain but I wish I could have done much more. I will try to finish this blog later on tonight.
